Still Life with Lemon

Yesterday something came over me and I just had to break out my paints and brushes. I set up a simple still life and began to paint. I decided to limit myself to a small palette, and my focus was on the interesting patterns of the draped scarf and the jar. I think I might just have to paint a lot this weekend. There is something about painting that just makes me feel happy (except when I hate what I have created).
